Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the RucheyProxy application for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS (the “App”) and the website toolcreative.ltd (the “Site”). The App and the Site are provided by TOOL CREATIVE LTD, a company incorporated in England and Wales with its registered office at 327 Tollgate Road, London, E6 5YF, England (“we”, “us”).
By installing, accessing, or using the App or the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or the Site.
1. The service
RucheyProxy is a network proxy application that routes traffic through encrypted connections. RucheyProxy is a client application that routes selected network traffic on Apple devices through encrypted proxy connections to servers operated by third-party providers configured by the user.
The App is a client tool. We do not operate proxy servers and we do not provide the underlying network infrastructure the traffic is routed through. You are responsible for selecting the servers and providers you connect to and for ensuring you have the right to use them.
2. How the App connects on your device
To route traffic, the App uses Apple’s NetworkExtension framework. When you enable a connection for the first time:
- The App asks your device to add a Personal VPN configuration (a network profile of type
com.apple.networkextension). You confirm the request using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. The configuration appears in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management on iOS / iPadOS, in System Settings → Network on macOS, and under Settings → General → VPN and Device Management on tvOS. - While the connection is active, the App routes outbound network traffic from your device through the proxy server you configured, using a packet-tunnel provider running in a sandboxed system extension. The App itself never sees the plaintext payload of your traffic.
You can disconnect at any time from inside the App, from your device’s Settings, or from the system menu bar (macOS). You can remove the VPN configuration entirely at any time from the device Settings, without uninstalling the App.
The App does not route any traffic until you start a connection. It does not start automatically at boot, and it does not enable “Connect on Demand” unless you turn that option on yourself.
The App may request additional permissions where the platform requires them (for example, local-network access on iOS for LAN-side routing rules). Each request shows a system dialog you must explicitly approve.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least the minimum age required to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence (and never under 13). If you use the App on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
4. Your account and subscription
4.1 Apple ID
The App is distributed through Apple’s App Store. You access it with your Apple ID. Apple, not us, processes your purchase and stores your payment details.
4.2 Subscriptions
Some features of the App are available only with a paid subscription. Subscription prices, periods, and renewal terms are shown in the App and confirmed by Apple at purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the period through your Apple ID settings.
4.3 Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies; we cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App or the Site to:
- violate any law, regulation, or third-party right in your jurisdiction or in the destination jurisdiction of your traffic;
- send spam, phishing material, malware, or any traffic designed to harm a network or a person;
- attempt unauthorised access to any system, network, account, or data;
- conduct denial-of-service activity, large-scale scraping, or credential stuffing;
- distribute or facilitate the distribution of unlawful content;
- interfere with the App, the Site, or our infrastructure (reverse-engineering, modifying client integrity checks, exploiting vulnerabilities other than under a coordinated disclosure arrangement with us).
Some countries restrict or prohibit the use of proxy and VPN tools. You are responsible for knowing the law where you are and where your traffic terminates.
6. Third-party providers
Connections you configure in the App typically terminate on infrastructure operated by third parties (proxy providers, hosting platforms, network operators). We have no relationship with those providers in respect of your use, and we are not responsible for their availability, security, pricing, logging practices, or compliance.
7. Changes to the App
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the App at any time. Where reasonable, we will give notice in-App or by email before a material change. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
8. Intellectual property
The App, the Site, and all content in them (software code, design, text, marks, including the RucheyProxy and Tool Creative names and logos) are owned by us or our licensors. Your right to use the App is governed by our End-User Licence Agreement. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership.
9. Warranties and disclaimers
The App and the Site are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and terms (express, implied, statutory) including merchantability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We do not warrant that using the App will fully anonymise you, prevent your network operator from observing connection metadata, or protect you from sophisticated traffic analysis.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to the above, to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings;
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the App or the Site is capped at the greater of (i) the amount you paid us (via Apple) for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the event, or (ii) GBP 50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the App in violation of law, or your infringement of a third-party right.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or applicable law. Where reasonable, we will notify you. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your devices.
13. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page or communicated in-App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that we retain the right to bring proceedings against you in the country of your residence.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or elsewhere, you may benefit from mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence; nothing in these Terms removes those rights.
